The DIY guide to installing aluminium lettering
This is a very easy step by step guide on installing your aluminium lettering with pins.
You will receive the lettering and a stencil from the Octangle Signage department.
The stencil is made up to the exact size as the lettering. You will notice small circles drawn on each aluminium letter. They are usually 6mm or 4mm circles. They indicate where you must drill holes for the pins to slide into. It is very important for you to drill the holes straight and deep enough.
Once you have drilled all the holes. Insert each aluminium letter into its place to see if you have drilled correctly. If you need to make changes in your holes then it is easy to mark each hole that needs to be modified on the paper stencil.
After all the aluminium letters fit in perfectly you can remove the letters and then take the stencil off of the wall.
Now you need to fill each hole with silicone sealant. Gently insert your aluminium letter and push it in to the desired depth. After all the aluminium letters has been inserted you can wait half an hour to an hour before cleaning the letters.
A window cleaning solution works the best, as it doesn’t leave any streak marks on your aluminium surface.
